IT Fresher Resume and Project Ideas That Get Interviews
By JobKarle Editorial Team · Published · 2 min read
What goes on an IT fresher resume, how to describe projects so recruiters notice them, and 15 project ideas across development, support, networking and testing.
The short version
An IT fresher resume wins on proof. Recruiters want to see what you built, fixed or configured, not a long list of buzzwords. One page, clean layout, strong projects.
The structure that works
- Header: name, phone, professional email, city, and a link to your code repository or portfolio.
- Two-line summary: the role you want and your strongest skills.
- Skills: grouped, for example Languages, Tools, Operating systems, Networking, Testing. Only list what you can discuss in an interview.
- Projects: two to four, each with what you built, the tools used and the result.
- Education: degree, institute, year and any relevant coursework.
- Internships, certifications and achievements: only the relevant ones.
How to write a project so it gets noticed
Use this pattern for each project: what it does, what you used, what you personally did, and what happened.
Weak: Made a website using HTML and CSS. Stronger: Built a responsive job listing page using HTML, CSS and JavaScript with search and filter features. Tested on mobile and desktop and hosted it online with a public link.
Add numbers only when they are real, for example number of test cases written or devices configured in your lab.

Project ideas for support and system roles
